Ghost CMS blog – install it easily in your cPanel

A modern and simple blogging alternative to WordPress. Here's how to install and manage your installation.

Ghost CMS is an excellent alternative to WordPress. If you want to start a blog—maybe even send out a newsletter—we highly recommend it. Many of our customers, for example our client at https://cocktaildetour.com/, switched from WordPress > Ghost CMS and have been very pleased. Checking out their website can give you a good feel for how your website will look if you choose to install Ghost. Unlike WordPress you just choose a theme and it’s done, start blogging!

The problem is that it’s often complicated to get everything up and running, but don’t worry! We’ve built our own cPanel plugin that lets you install & manage Ghost CMS just as easily as you can with WordPress.

Getting Started

Install Ghost CMS in cPanel

Start by logging in to your cPanel. You can do this by navigating to dindomän.se/cpanel.

Navigate to Ghost CMS under the Hostup Features

Once there, you will see a new section called “Create a New Ghost Installation,” as shown in the image below:

Where you can choose which domain Ghost CMS should be installed on

To install Ghost, simply click the “Install Ghost” button. Once that’s done, just wait a minute and everything will be ready!

Manage your installation

Once it’s installed, you’re all set. Under the heading “Existing Ghost Installations,” you can manage your installation. There are three key options.

  • Update Ghost (the orange button in the image below)
  • Access the admin panel (the button second to the right in the image below)
  • Uninstall (the last button in the image below)
