Remove an IP block on your web hosting
Checked against the client area 29 October 2026
The security system on your web hosting can block a network automatically, for example after too many failed logins. Your website or email then stops working from that network only. From other networks, such as mobile data, everything works as usual. Many blocks you can remove yourself in the client area.
Open the Dashboard in the client area
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Open the client area from the network that is blocked, for example the computer at your office. The client area only checks the network you connect from yourself.
How to
Section titled “How to”- Log in to the client area from the blocked network and click Dashboard in the menu.
- If the network is blocked, the box Your network is blocked by our security system appears above your web hosting. It shows the network’s IP address. It also says whether the website and email are blocked or only logins.
- Click Unblock my network.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”The box disappears and the client area confirms that the block is removed. Within a few minutes the website and email should work again from that network.
If the box has no button, it says that support needs to review the block before it can be removed. The same applies if the box stays with that text after you click. Then click Contact support in the box and open a ticket.
If the block has an end date, the box shows it. The block is then lifted by itself on that date.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- You can remove the block for the same network twice in 24 hours. If the network keeps getting blocked after that, support needs to look at the cause.
- Does the box say the network was blocked after too many failed login attempts? Check that the mail apps on that network have the right password before you remove the block.
- The box only shows on the Dashboard and only for web hosting that is active.
