Log in to WordPress (wp-admin) from the client area
Checked against the client area 29 October 2026
If you run WordPress on your web hosting, you log in to wp-admin straight from the client area. You don’t need a password. The client area creates a login link that works once.
Open your web hosting in the client area
How to
Section titled “How to”- Click Dashboard in the menu and find your web hosting.
- Click the WordPress button in the row with Log in to cPanel. The number on the button shows how many WordPress sites the hosting has.
- Under WordPress Sites, click the site you want to log in to. If you have more than three sites, you can search for it at the top of the list.
- wp-admin opens in a new tab and you are logged in.
If your browser blocks the new tab, a notice appears with an Open wp-admin button. Click it to open wp-admin in the same tab.
If the domain leads somewhere else
Section titled “If the domain leads somewhere else”The login link opens through the site’s own address. If that address does not lead to the hosting, the client area does not create a link. Instead a dialog tells you why: the address leads to another server, shows the parking page or does not point anywhere yet. This often happens when you move a website here and the domain still points to the old provider.
- Click Show details in the dialog. It shows where the address leads today and Your hosting's address.
- Point the domain to your hosting’s address. If your DNS is with us, you do that on the DNS Management tab, see Add, change and delete DNS records.
- Click the site under WordPress Sites again once the domain points here.
If you know the address reaches the hosting anyway, for example through a proxy or your hosts file, click Log in anyway. The link is then created anyway. If the address leads to another server, you end up on the website there.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The WordPress button only shows when the hosting is active and the client area has found at least one WordPress site on it.
- If you have several web hosting accounts, the button on the other accounts is just the WordPress logo with a number. It is not available on a phone. To reach them from a phone, put that hosting on top with Set as Primary under More.
- Each link works once. Click the site in the list again the next time you want to log in.
